Beth Billups is the artist behind Tangled Sky Studio. Her encaustic paintings explore home as a personal narrative by examining our connections to our surroundings, to one another and to the natural world. She builds layers of meaning by combining ephemera, oil paint and beeswax, rendering modern images in an ancient medium. She works and lives just north of Chicago with her husband, three children and six hens.
